Time & Attendance for Contract and Distributed Staff
Breaks can be setup in two ways in the system
1. Setting up the break time policy
Settings > Policies > Add New Policy > Search for policy P04: Add Breaktime automatically based on Worked hours > Define the policy as required > Add Policy
This will ensure that the defined break time will be automatically deducted from the working hours.
2. You can create different Break Types in the system so that the employees can select which break they are taking. You can also define them as paid and unpaid breaks separately.
Settings > Break Time > Add/Edit > Define your break types > For the paid breaks define the number of minutes that should be counted under the paid break, rest will be considered as unpaid break
Once the Break Types are defined enable enable the Break Punch functionality on the User App and the Kiosk Devices so that the employees and mark the breaks as required.
User App: Go to Staff Directory > Edit the staff details to enable the Break Punch functionality > Under the ‘Access’ section enable ‘Break time punch’ > Save
Now once the staff has clocked in they will be able to mark the breaks as required from the User App. They can select the Break Type and click on ‘Yes, Start Break’ to start their break. Once they are back from the break they can again click on ‘End Break’ to end the break.
Kiosk Device: Go to Settings > Kiosk Devices > Edit the Kiosk device from which you want you staff to mark the breaks > Enable the ‘Break Punch’ checkbox > Save
Now once the staff has clocked in they will be able to mark the breaks as required from the Kiosk App. They can Click on ‘Start Break’ > Select the ‘Break Type’ > Capture a photo to start their break. Once they are back from the break they can again click on ‘End Break’ to end the break.
The worked hours will be calculated accordingly.
