What are the steps to set up Geofencing locations?

You can restrict employees from taking attendance in approved locations only.
To set up Geofencing locations, do the following steps:
1. Go to Settings > Geofencing > Geofencing Locations

 


2. Add new location. Enter the Geolocation address or exact latitude-longitude

 

 

3. Setup a customized Geofencing radius and Save.
This will setup Geofencing location which can be assigned to employees to allow their attendance from approved locations only

 

4. Setup “Out of Location” Settings
Click on the “Settings” icon on the top right corner to set “When out of location punch” is marked
You can select the option according to your requirement > Click on ‘Save’

 

 

 

Assign Geofenced locations to staff

To enable geofencing on staff, you need to assign the defined geofenced location to staff.

You can do it either one by one OR in bulk.

a. Assign Geofencing location to staff – one by one

 

  • For Existing staff: Go to Staff Directory > Edit Staff > Access tab > Enable Geofencing option ‘Only at Approved Location’ > Select the geofencing location/locations > Select the type of Geofencing > Select the no. of days > Set the “if out of location” option.

 

  • For New Staff: Go to Staff Directory > Add new staff > Access tab > Enable Geofencing option ‘Only at Approved Location’ > Select the geofencing location/locations > Select the type of Geofencing > Select the no. of days > Set the “if out of location” option.

 

b. Assign Geofencing location to staff – in bulk

 

  • For Existing staff: Go to Staff Directory > Bulk Update > Select the ‘Geofencing locations’ field under the access section from the field selector. Download Excel, assign geofencing location, and upload

 

  • For New Staff: Go to Staff Directory > Bulk Upload > Download sample Excel. Populate details in the ‘Detailed’ tab and assign geofencing locations. Please refer to the Instructions sheet in the sample Excel for details.
